OUR SYDNEY TRIP: CAMPING, TATTOOS, CELEBRATING THE FIRE HORSE YEAR AND A NEW PAINTING ON THE WORKS

My contribution to Red Dragon’s ‘Year of the Fire Horse’ exhibition in Sydney.

Just back from the most incredible time at our Sydney home, the brilliant tattoo studio Thanks Tattoo. Whilst there I got to finish some long term ongoing projects and make a start on new ones. Sydney loves its body art! Thank you Gummy and crew for always making us feel so welcome. And thank you to all my wonderful clients for your continuous trust 🙏🏻.

Another big highlight was the Year of The Fire Horse exhibition, organized by Red Dragon and featuring amazing art galore from some of the best tattoo artists around. This was the third instalment of their Sheng Xiao (Chinese Zodiac) annual exhibition. 2026 marks the Year of the Fire Horse — a symbol of intense energy, passion, and bold action — and this year’s exhibition embodied exactly that spirit. Profits from this year’s exhibition were donated to Studio Artes, a charity dedicated to empowering adults with disabilities by supporting the development of their creative and life skills 🔥.

It is always an honour to be invited to take part in this art show. My painting will be displayed again at the fantastic Iron Gate Tattoo art show in Sydney, on November 6th-8th. If you are interested in purchasing it but won’t be attending the show, then you can contact me directly to arrange it. The painting is A2 in size, acrylic paint and gouache on Arches paper. It is $960AUD or £520GBP, worlwide shipping included 🚀.

To round it all up, before packing our things to go spend some time with the kangaroos down south, I was able to make a start on my next painting: a very special project for an upcoming group show back home in Brighton. But more on that soon! ✨

Till then, all the best

Inma

PS. Here are some snipets from the trip. Already looking forward to our return next year :)
